Why ARCHIlabs? A method with a mindset, and a track record few teams can tell.

Choosing who will design your offices is a decision that weighs for years. The right question isn't "who costs less" or "who furnishes better", but "who starts from the way we work". That's where the difference shows: a method with a mindset, and a track record few teams can tell.

An awareness: space is never neutral

Everything stems from a conviction built over twenty years: the workplace is never neutral. It enables or hinders, attracts or pushes away. An office designed from a catalogue – so many desks, so many meeting rooms, so many phone booths – often hinders: meeting rooms stay empty, desks stay full, informal areas turn into storage. For us, space is a lever: designed around real work, it grows both people and results.

A responsibility: the client is broader than the one who commissions

Behind the method there is a mindset. When we design, our client extends well beyond whoever commissions the work: it is whoever will inhabit those spaces every day, even without knowing it; it is whoever will walk down the street and find themselves facing an architecture they never asked for; it is the energy, the environment, the ecosystem we act on, and the generations to come. None of them asked us for it, and yet every project, by imposing itself, takes something from each of them. Our duty is to give back more: to generate, for each of them, more value than it takes away.

A method: data first, then space

We don't draw a layout, we read how a company works. With interviews and surveys we capture teams' "typical day" – focus, collaboration, time away from the desk – and surface both the stated needs and the latent ones: that's the starting point. We hand the results back to management and, from the discussion around the data, we define "how we'd like to work": that's where the project begins. Those needs become square metres and work settings thanks to a proprietary software, built on 2.7 million m² designed and refined against Gallup research and other international bodies; the BOMA standard guarantees an objective sizing. This is our proprietary method, Community Based Design.

A single point of contact: from analysis to delivery

ARCHIlabs brings together four disciplines – architecture, space planning, interior design and project management – and works with an established multidisciplinary team: architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, structural engineers, urban planners. This lets us follow everything with a single point of contact, from the first data point to the site. When the client chooses to, we go all the way to delivery with a design & build approach, in full transparency and with an open book logic.

A track record few teams can tell

Our history in space planning begins in 1998 with Hewlett Packard: we contribute to the definition of the new EMEA standards and design its offices in 25 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. From there, over twenty years of projects for companies such as SAP – with whom we sign the first Italian project to achieve LEED Platinum certification – Vodafone, Samsung, Reale Mutua, Confindustria Bergamo, EdenRED, KilometroRosso. All over Italy: from Milan to Bergamo, from Turin to Padua, all the way to Naples and Catania.

In one line

An awareness of space, a data-driven method, a complete path with a single point of contact, and an international history that proves it. This is how we help a company work better, grow, and recognise itself in its own spaces. This is what we mean when we say your space our project.
